This actually has a very old, vintage look to it, nice one, Alan!!
Great shot, I like the very natural look to the people and the old photo look to it. A very evocative image
perfect in sepia!
WOW thanks for sharing this nostalgic U.K. event my friend! cool snap!
Your playing worked very well, looks like an image out of the archives. :)
it looks a real vintage capture, excelent shot and postwork.
timeless image.
could have been taken in 43, excellent postwork
It is a wonderful shot, Alan. I love what you have done with it. We have a similar event in Pickering, will have to get myself there sometime! Hugs. Di. xx
This is a really nice capture Alan. I like it in b&w. My buddy always drags me to these WWII reenctments or get-togethers. A couple of years ago we were in Reading, PA and we saw Col. Tibbits, the pilot of the 'Enola Gay' that dropped the first A-bomb on Hiroshima. Also some guys that flew the 'Hump', the first officer across the bridge at Remagen, the youngest Marine ever to receive the Medal of Honor, and a Coast Guard guy that had been in the Normandy Landings and later in Okinawa. We also saw WWII aircraft, including the only flyable AVRO 'Hasting'.It is maintained by a Canadian group and had come down for the occasion. I remember having seen Hastings during the Berlin Airlift. Thanks for sharing Alan, Sig..
Great shot Alan, if you find out when it's on let me know will you. They also do one of these weekends at Crich, the Tramway Museum, if you want to go again. Or they do one at Eden Camp the old PW camp near Malton North Yorkshire, thats not a bad day out. I'll make some enquiries. Point and shoot eh? Snap shots he says. It looks great in sepia tone Alan. Excellent work. Bravo!!!!! http://www.edencamp.co.uk/ check this out, cut and paste.

Wow! You totally fooled me! I thought I was looking at a vintage picture!! Well done! What a wonderful have that would have been!
The flag raising on Mount Surabachi was also a snapshot. You are in good company.[ Don't deprecate your work... plenty of others will do that for you! ;-) ]
A really fantastic work
you did good on this. i like how it came out
the snapshot looks is what makes this look so authentic. Outstanding job.
the man in the foreground reminds me of Dwight Eisenhower .excellent scene and the interaction with the child
Congratulations for this excellent photo.
Wonderful work! I agree with PJ - the snapshot quality this has really makes the image. Anything more professional looking would seem staged. This is so natural - it looks like it could have come from someone's treasured collection of war memorabilia. Excellent stuff, my friend!
Looks back to the time before I was born. Wonderful capture my friend!
loooooooooooooooove it!
