Description
The levee on the Eel River, the place I spend so much time. This is the northernmost end of the path, the red arrow shows you the south end. It's about 4 miles long. When I walk, I usually head south, from about the middle, down to the arrow and back. On my bike, I also head south, come back all the way north, around and back to the middle. That works out to about 10 miles by the time I'm done. Come and join me!!!

Superb place and shot :)
Looks really nice there! But it's a bit far for me to join.. :- )
i`m out of breath just reading this :o)..looks a great place with plenty of pic taking opportunities .excellent capture marilyn mick
Very nice photo you took of this lovely place! I would love to walk in that area! with camera in hand of course hehe!!
One heck of a walk, looks a great place for it too. I see you have taken a tip from Jeff by adding arrows lol. to help with the added info.
Gosh! I'm quite tired! Very interesting to see.
i'm not sure i'd make it to the bend in the road. great shot. thanks
I might make it about fifty yards at a push Marilyn, but I would love to join you for a stroll along the bank. I could get a skate board and use my crutches like they do poles for skiing. It might take a couple of days to complete the journey, but I'm sure we would have some fun on the way.roflmao. I used to have a pushbike up till about 22 years back I used to ride it regular, it was only after I had my right kneecap removed I couldn't pedal it anymore, my right knee would not bend enough to complete the cycle of the pedal. You must be fit, doing all that walking and cycling, I will dream about it tonight, cause thats the closest I'll get. Excellent capture and thanks for showing us round. Bravo!!!!!
Oh, I wish I could, Marilyn. What a view...and that mountain range in the distance is great.
A nice walk to get healthy. Beautiful. Aloha
I could do four miles if we took a break in the middle! It's the 600 miles to get there that's the kicker! LOL! Great shot - it's nice to see where you walk!
Oh cool... a very nice landscape!
Oh, I'd love to! Sadly, the Atlantic Ocean lies between us, making this a rather long trip.. :) Looks like a very nice place to walk.
I am there! At least in spirit. Terrific vista displayed in this capture, Marilyn. Excellent area to become one with nature, stopping every so often to snap photos of things of interest. BTW, it would be nice if you visited my gallery. You have been conspicuous by your absence.
beautiful area to live and to walk
real cool looking place to get your photos
I like how this shot has 5 count em, 5 Depths in it. The foreground, and 4 distinct mtn backgrounds!!! Nice shot!!!
What a georgeous place to walk.
This is a gorgeous image...restful, peaceful, and evocative of so many complex and rich moods. I would love to walk around that area...with my notebook and my camera, taking pictures and writing down impressions, and probably turning over stones and whatnot, looking for woodlice and other interesting creatures. Funny thing about woodlice though, they're neither wooden, nor are they lice...but oh well. They're funny critters and they're sure to live around there. I think they're universal. But anyway, I love the emotional undercurrent of this picture, the sense of peace that you've captured here...and I won't even go into how much it resembles the outskirts of the city of Bes.... :-)
I would love to join you! looks like a nice peaceful place to walk. lovely shot
Thanks I'll be along in a while.
I thought you rode across all those rocks, I didn't know you had an actual path. Another nice capture of a red Joshua tree.... lol... :) Todd
