Description
For all people who prefer fractals in 3D and not only those in flatland. Even old Mandy seems to have some plasticity and thanks to my flashlight you can see it here.
This is also my new avatar. The old one was 'Basie's Riffs', dedicated to the band of Count Basie, in a certain way it was 'Back to Basie'. This new one is 'Back to Basic',only one character difference. Mandy and Julia remain the roots of our activities with UltraFractal and some other fractal software.
Thanks for your view, I hope you'll zoom in for seeing the details. I also am very grateful for all your comments on my former uploads.

Very beautifult erland
Leuk, dit diepte effect in een simpele mandelbrot... anne... 3d wordt in mijn opinie vaak zwaar overschat, alhoewel het soms heel mooi kan zijn
Very beautiful Mandelbrot with 3D mood!!! Splendid work and design!!!

I have NEVER seen Miss Mandy look so vibrant and healthy! She must be extatic living in your fractal world! She makes a lovely avatar, too!
Awesome Image!!
You bring out the beauty in Mandy!
Lovely image!!!
Simplicity at its finest! Very Zen! Excellent!!
Love it!! Nice colors and great 3D feel. Great job, and I love the story about Basie and Basic. Great job!!
Beautiful brot!
Very nicely done, Ed!
Vibrant and wonderful,love 3D!!!!:-)
I like the 3D-ness you accomplished here. The shine, the shadow, the colour. It makes a strong avatar, too, but I think it lacks your individuality. FractalForum has a simiar Mandy avatar, and although not nearly as beautiful and 3D as yours, the mandelbrot shape speaks "Generic" first and foremost. Your work is far more individual and not well represented by this avatar. In other words, when I see this, I have to read your name to see who you are. When I saw your previous avatar, I knew it was you immediately. Maybe it will grow on you (and me) in time.
Fractals is a feast for the eye. They are all pretty in different ways. So it's really hard to rate them with stars from 1-5 Im not a math genoius :) BUT.. Of what i remember its a formula that repeat itself through a LOT of iterations. I had a couple of Fractal programs for my Amiga 500 back in the late 80s and early 90s. I had great fun with them I remember the classic formula use in this render(or what it's called) +5
