This was a good plane, but by 1944-45 the JAAF had mostly inexperienced pilots. Another excellent drawing!

Sad how ambition so often leads to idiocy. The tale of Japan since the end of the war shows how wrong were their priorities. Trade is more potent than military aggression.

If the Japs had followed the US example of improving the species all the time, and not trying to fight with the same old gear then the results might have been different. This clinging to old ideas finally led to the kamikazes, a desperate measure if ever there was one. Nice draughtsmanship.
