Description
Captured 1/24/08, around 11:30 AM, about 1.8 miles/2.896 kilometers from my residence.
I have often walked down this street before (to borrow a line from the musical, My Fair Lady), just to partake in the heady ambiance of that great name, Bombardier.....my cousin serving as one in World War II.
It must be exhilarating to tell people you live on Bombardier Avenue.
Although, wouldn't it be ironic if all the residents on this avenue were antiwar pacifists?
Next goal: to seek out avenues, roads, streets, et al, with the names of: Pilot, Copilot, Navigator, Belly Gunner, Tail Gunner and Waist Gunner.
Off we go, into the wild blue yonder!
Hope you all had a fabulous weekend.

Excellent shot.
Today is a very neat capture Harry. I do like a simple but so effective POV. We have some street named after pilot here too. Kingsford Smith road in Sydney just to mention one. Good guys remembered forever I guess.
cool find. wonderful shot.
Very clever outlook and a bright and "heavenly" view! (Now I am humming that tune...)
interesting pov and concept
Excellent clear and detailled shot. Beautiful colors!
I just love stuff like this. Thank you for sharing it with us! A crisp image, and the color of the sign against the same colors in the sky makes for a stunning composition. The POV is awesome. Just right! Gives me the feeling of being there. Good luck with that whole "Waist Gunner" thing! :)
great capture...
