Description

In the history of the planet Balaam, the city of Telegardia was associated with failure. Four hundred years before, the second of all flying cities, on it's shake-down flight had to set down for it's final time after a flight time of only thirty-five minutes. The Molecular Motion Induction engine was only twelve years into development, after Balaam had received the technology from the Rahkoshan radio transmissions from deep space. The Jade Empire was revitalized and instituted huge building programs. Something akin to a real anti-gravity device, the MMI's were capable of letting a whole city hang in the air for pennies a day, in safety. Flying City number two failed, not by the alien technology, but by hastily constructed space-frame members cracking under the strain of the off-balance lifters. It landed on the small resort city of Telegardia, and never flew again. Ten years later, news of the seas dying came out. All the ocean resorts were abandoned over the next hundred years, as well as the huge sub-sea cities. As death consumed the seas of Balaam, humanity fled from the murder they had committed on the oceans. After the fall of the Jade Imperium to the Church of the Holy Child's 'Holy Kingdom', Telegardia was all but forgotten into the dustbin of history. After the fall of civilization, to the horror of the Blight, an unstoppable, incurable plague--new inhabitants took the city of Telegardia back from the ashes of death and the dusts of history forgotten. The Cyclops were made to wage the wars that the humans of Balaam didn't want to fight. They were finally upgraded to be self-repairing and self-replicating. Something or someone upgraded them to Natural Intelligence, and they did the rest. Now the Cyclops Commonwealth is spread to most of the abandoned undersea cities, and abandoned cities in the dead seas. Numbering into the tens of millions, the N.I. robots wait to battle the humans of Balaam for their rightful place in the sun. A new dawn starts at Telegardia, where the Cyclops watch the sky for signs of a human attack, and are ready for the new sunrise to be THEIRS. --TO BE CONTINUED!-- Used Poser,Wings3d,Blacksmith 2.2,Vue 6
