good morning and yet the start of another week ,i really am getting old fast :o)..
todays pic is of yarm town hall and war memorial .the building dates back to the early 1700`s and is not very big as you would imagine most town halls to be .yarm high street is very old style ,cobbled streets and nothing very modern like most high streets .mainly antique shops and small business's .stockton and middlesbrough are the main shopping places of near equal distances from yarm .

This is a real nice little building Mick, I see at the very top has a date 1710 When you said Town Hall I was amazed at how small it is. Looking around it looks a nice little town, good shot and keep em coming!

A charming little town Mick and these out of town shopping places look so lacking soul compared to these places..
I think Danny has hit the nail on the head here Mick, the big shopping malls have no or very little character as opposed to the village/town centers. This has suprised me as to how small it seems to be, especially when you take ours in to consideration. Aright ours is big and grand but I think its a bit OTT for a 'Town Hall'. This one is more in keeping with its suroundings in my oppinion. Excellent pov, and a good narrative as well, a little slice of history always goes down well with me, as you well know. Bravo!!!!!

Awesome capture Mick. There is a lot of atmosphere in this prospective. I love the cobblestone streets (but not to drive on . . . it shakes the coffee out of my cup). Excellent.
Yes, when we traveled to Germany we saw buildings that were 1,000 years old, and the ones that were 300 years or less were considered new. ;o) Over here, if we have one 100 years old we get really awe struck by it. hehe... This is a charming picture!
