Description
I have to admit, I was sneaking up on this eagle! He was just sitting perched on this old snag of a tree, as I was driving over deception pass bridge. I pulled over really quick and grabbed my camera, I don't think anyone else saw him, as there were other people walking around and taking photos, of the bridge. I snuck up as quietly as I could behind him and frantically looked for a clear spot
to shoot between the trees. I only got one shot before someone spotted him and spooked him off...
anyway, this is what I got... enjoy...

Great image...not easy to get a shot like this...well done..
Stupendous capture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! congrats.
This must have been so exciting! I don't think I would ever have this experience but am happy you did. WOW!
Wow, what an awesome shot.
Well this was certainly worth the effort going in stealth mode!! It's so very hard sometimes to sneak up on birds and then get a clear shot like this..Excellent shot, so nicely framed by the tree Akemi-san!! Great shot to start the New Year!! Aloha~
CONGRATULATIONS IS NOT EASY , GORGEOUS CAPTURE !!!!!
Your instincts guided you to the perfect spot. Good story, fantastic photo...
WOW.Amazing shot.
nice shot! right place at the right time... and very good eyes!! :)
Besides that eagle you have captured, that tree seems to have hands of its own. Interesting shot. Aloha
What an experience that must have been to be driving over that beautiful bridge and to spot this bird. The view from there is spectacular so I'm not surprised most people missed him. You have a great eye to have spotted him.
You are so good at those spontaneous moments!!!! Brilliant catch Akemi!!!!! WOW!!
Oh gosh, Akemi. This is awesome! Where were you and your camera on Thursday morning when I needed you, my friend? I was outside with another photographer friend, taking a break at work. Two bald eagles were being pestered by a few seagulls in the air above us, and one of the eagles came flying through the parking lot about four feet above the ground, straight at us, with a seagull in its talons. He dropped the gull, and then perched on the roof of our building for the longest time. His mate was perched in a nearby tree. Three photographers in my office, and none of us had a camera with us. But wow. What an experience that was!
Sneak factor high, eh? Excellent job getting even one shot before he was spooked, and you even managed to get him framed well. Well done, Akemi.
Gorgeous shot!
Never seen one in real life, but he is the symbol of US. I don't think we have any in Sweden. A fantastic shot, he is imposing!
What an amazing capture Akemi!! It really is hard to get up close to an eagle and especially to get such a clean crisp shot!! Very well done!!!!!!
Good catch, our Buzzards are far to wary for this.
It's really great, wonderful depth in this image! A gorgeous bird and excellent work!!
Wonderful capture, i'm sure he didn't mind.
A wonderful shot. My compliments.
Great shot, bravo!!... that you were able to get this close and get one shot before he spooked.
Very great shot ! Nice and sharp details ! Excellent
Excellent work.Excellent capture.I do enjoy this picture. You put in a lot of effort to take this picture.Thank you for sharing it.
LUCKY you!! super to get them in wild, well done
An excellent capture and your sneaking paid off.
I don't think I have ever seen a bald eagle in the wild. This is an awesome capture. Great sneaking.
Wow, it looks like you got quite close--not easy to do with eagles. They are usually pretty wary of people, but this may have been a particularly choice hunting perch that he didn't want to give up. Fantastic lighting and focus!
Fantastic capture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
marvellous natural capture, well done
