I got one more of the tour boats photos I like to post.
thanks for comments and all. I know they was underexposed but this is the first time I shot into the sun like this. I had to get into the shadow of that big tree you see the sun light going around it. I keep playing with the speed and f stops but was not doing too good. I put it on auto and it was too dark then. I did not have my sun block on and I did have a polarization filter I bought and was trying it out[cost me $75 lol]. as you see the glare of the sun is still there and I did turn the filther in diff places.
here you see the size of the land I had a closer shot of them as I put my 2x thing on my 135mm lens. I just can not make up my mind which to post. They both is good. I will post one that you see what the 2x thing on the lens do tomorrow.
guess I could have put the iso down to 200 or 100 even here. I do that next time I there with the sun like this. Just learning about all this stuff you know.

Well, Jocko, no matter what you did or didn't do, this is great!! Just looks so mysterious and intriguing, and $20 is a bargain for sure!! Sign me up!!
this was just before I put on the 2x thing on my 135 mm zoom lens. That why the photo have depth. Very little bugs at this time of year
I love the colors, light and atmosphere!!! Excellent capture!!!
Very Nice photo and very resourceful of you to use the tree as a filter. Thanks for the info Jocko, you may be seeing me soon ;^)
Impressive atmo and mood. Superb back light shot!
Yes, really nice mood!
if there is a Ritz or Wolf camera store near you. you can buy 2 filters and the third is free.pretty good deal.I buy all mine there.even with the flares the beauty of the swamp can be appreciated through your photography
Looks a really exciting place to visit! The flare adds to the mystery!!
EXCELLENT CAPTURE & VIEW !!!!!
Welcome to the Cajun-Bayou GREAT SHOT
Very Nice!!!
Nice shot of what swamps really look like. I don't do many shots with distance into the sun but for the close ones I use a flash and sometimes it helps. thanx for the share. ;-)
A wonderful shot Jock. Looks a huge expanse of land here at the swamp. Excellent work. Hugs. Di. xx
Are the crocks hiding in there?? a little scary thought for me lol: great shot though:
BreathTaking image Jocko!>fav
you will need lots of light for the 2x to work! like the light in the moss!!!
Wow !! this is a great shot Jock would love to see this place for myself !
It does look like fun. Wonder if they came up on any nutria...
I adore the boats I woud like to go..yes it's a bargain $20.! Excellent lighting.Great shot :)
I don't think I would be standing up and moving around out there in that little boat. I just really love how the light, lights up the moss. Another interesting swamp scene.
Excellent capture.
Terrific colors, contrast, lighting and silhouetting effects in this capture, Jock. Lots of painstaking effort in this exercise, my friend!
Good picture of this watery enviroment.I imagine it would be an interesting tour as long as no one gets eaten out there.
BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello my dear friend, Very Beautiful photography. Excellent!!Congratulations !! and... A million stars from me!!!******* Thank you so much for your comments, my friend, your words helpme to continue. Happy Sunday. Giant kiss in Your heart.Luminous blesing. Ludy (Sorry to have that to write the same thing in English to all, but are few the words that I have in English to say)
Awesome Picture. Love the light....
Wonderfully atmospheric photo Jock :)
Wonderful capture, Jocko!!
This is better than the first shot. It's hard to shoot into the sun this way. Reading the manual over and over and reading tutorials and practicing all the time is what you have to go through and before long you won't believe the difference. Good luck and have fun with it, Jock!!
Looks good to me! I'm still working on "auto" most of the time. Nice shot!
