Description
G'day All!
This is another view of St. Marks Church with its graveyard in it. I know some people may think its morbid but it's our history & very interesting looking though it & seeing the ages of these early settlers in which they passed.
Hope you all saw the new year in well :)
Thank you for viewing & commenting, much appreciated....
Take care
Shane

Cemeteries are a cross between personal diaries and historic libraries. Love this shot.
Makes you think of how they lived during the early years and how things have changed since then. Hope your New Year Day was great. Aloha
Not morbid at all, Shane. It's just another part of life, and your history!! I love seeing where you live, thanks for sharing it with us!! :))
Interesting! I love local history!
A good picture with an interesting view.
Can you still read the stuff on the headstones? Some of the oldies around here are very worn by time/weather and so hard to read.
Interesting comment for this beautiful panoramic capture.I wish you a Happy New Year too!
I bet that's a fascinating place to visit. Nice capture!
old cemeteries are fascinating. Beautiful shot!
excellent!
They say we learn from the past...nicely done shot...
Nice shot of this--you don't see many old graveyards like this any more, unless you're out in the country or a small town, at least over here in the U.S.; I don't know how it is over there--maybe you see more of that. But you captured the whole scene quite nicely!
Not morbid at all Shane, it is a peaceful place, filled with history. A glorious shot of the church and churchyard. Top notch work, as always. Hugs. Di.
I always love cemetery and tomstone shots. As you said it, this is our history. You capture this quet place excelently.
Although we live on opposite sides of the planet, my friend, our roots lie similarly in early colonialism. Our architecture may tend toward frame huts, but the USA has many similar scenes. A glorious new year to you and yours.
Graveyards can be very interesting and peaceful places, and some like this one are very well maintained with lovely surroundings - great shot Shane - hugs Jane xx
They hold so many memories. Lovely image:)
