Description
Back at the river today; I can't stay away for long!! I saw this beautiful creature soaring overheard, finding those thermals, and just gliding from one spot to another. For about ten minutes, I just followed him off and on with my camera and finally got this shot. He actually stayed close to me for most of my walk, it was fun having the company, cuz I was the only person out there today. It wasn't one of those leisurely, warm strolls on a summer day, that's for sure!! It was cold, wet , blowing a gale, but wow, do you get to see some great sights!!

You get the feel of the bird soaring effortlessly, nice capture.
This is a fantastic capture; you've caught the elegance of this bird and a sense of its leisurely motion. Fantastic! I love the colors as well, it's all very subtle. In short, this is a great shot.
he's where i long to be... way to capture the nearly spiritual essence of that moment...! michael
Jonathon Livingston Seagull in flight , Great image
The best time to take a stroll and be at one with nature, is on these cold days when everyone is indoors keeping warm. Great shot - hugs Jane xx
Splendid capture of the magnificent avian soaring above your head, Marilyn, but is the moisture effect on your lens a result of the cold and wet atmospheric conditions you experienced on your trek?
Very cool. I love the soaring, wings-extended posture of this gull. Beautiful!
