Description
One morning when I was out photographing the hibiscus a Hummingbird flew in. I was lucky enough to capture a few shots. I missed the best one though *sigh*. That bird flew right up to me, face to face, and I couldn't focus and click fast enough... darn. This is a cute little shot where you can see the colors on the back of the bird, and the blur of his wings. I've taken more than 50 pictures of Hummingbirds and I will have 3 to share.
Thank you for viewing and commenting on my previous upload, "God's Light In The Park" .
We are getting some much needed rain here today! So maybe I'll get to play with some photos today. Although I still have to be "Mom Chauffeur" and my husband has returned from his business trip... must share computer... lol.
You all have a Fabulous Day and Be Happy!

That delight for my eyes!!!!! a brilliant shot!!!! Roby ;O)
How did you get that close???? Amazing!!! Hummingbirds seem to float in the air wingless!!!
Excellent picture. Auto focus can be a pain, but this is a very nice action shot. You can see just the impression of the wings in motion, really cool! There is a way to manual focus , in that everything in a certain range is in focus. Read the tutorials by "danob". He has excellent birds of prey, in flight. I try to take bird in flight pictures all the time, they all stink!... :) Todd
Oh, so beautiful hummingbird and very nice color ! Good day :)
Wow amazing, and it looks like he has no wings just a slight blur!! This is great photography my friend - hugs Jane xx
This is a magical capture of this sweet little bird! Do not miss the perfect shot, be glad the little one came forth to greet you. :)
An enchanting capture. I love the motion blur. You are so lucky to have these beautiful wee birds. Wonderful work! Diane.
How beautifully this all blends in together! Wow.
This is an intriguing capture, I love the angle of your POV and the beautiful blur of the bird's wings. The whole composition works well! The whole image is beautiful! Fantastic work!
I have never had the opportunity to even miss a shot since I never see them. thebest in flight capture that I ever remember being posted here
Lush greens displayed in this momentous capture of the ever flitting hummingbird, performing its daily chores of collecting nectar. Incidentally, why do hummingbirds hum? Because they can't carry a tune. And we hardly got any rain down here from this highly touted strong storm.
Very pretty bird! nice capture! and yeah to bad you did not get the face to face shot in! would of been wayyyy cool!!! :-) Have a great weekend!
JWow. Very cool!
Sweet. Awesome capture of a very difficult subject. Beautiful.
they sound like bumblebee's don't they? :) They are very fast, but you did good here. Keep at it :)
A wonderfully colorful capture of this little one being still for a moment.
super action shot!
