Description
Created in Bryce. Took me 8 hours to create and 46 minutes to render. Usually it's the other way around. Jacks are metaballs arranged in star pattern. Found out too late just how expensive renderwise metaballs are especially when it comes to size. The bigger they are, the longer it will takes to render...
Some postwork done in Photoshop.

Now, this is pretty cool.. awesome job..
Very nice. Metaballs are good for organics. Is there a reason you used them here (somewhat to your own regret when render time came?) I think you could have made the jacks with cones and spheres and given the atmosphere of the image, they would have looked the pretty much the same, with of course, sharper edges. The trick if you went that route would be to take the image into Photoshop and use the liquefy feature and then carefully "smear" the arms to make them look molded. But, I guess by the time you got through with that, you'd have spent more time than you did waiting for the render! Of course, it would have been fun to try. Anyway, nice job, like the chess pieces (did you make them?) 5 out of 5 Keep up the good work.
@clyde236 I made those chess pieces a long time ago in 3D Max. And those took me like 15 days to make. I just exported them in OBJ format from Max. Kept them nearby on CD and Iomega Zip Disk... But mostly on CDs now... LOL
Wonderful modeling and use of reflections here. Your work is outstanding Bravo and hats off to ya
