This was fun, but it did take me minute to see what was going on in frame two. And the cats coing to life in frame 5 was a nice touch also.

Some motion blur or text sound effects will help to reinforce the scenes. In frame two, the falling staffs or axes don't give us a sense of movement as to why Jones and Cate are running. You could also have one of them call out a warning. These are only some suggestions to make it come across as more of an action- adventure comic.
