Description
This is a model of a 1957 Chevy Fleetline. This represented quite a challenge. When I first rendered this with a native Vue texture the results were not very good. We increased the mesh resolution about four times, and that didnt seem to do any good. So I "mixed my own" textures to get the auto body right. The original skin of this model is pink. So I made most objects textures Vue native, and rendered it using broadcast and Vue's HDRI set up scene. This is part of a new series we are creating called "Fedoraville" - in fact there will be two sets - one for vehicles, the other for buildings. Oh yes - modelled in MAX 7.

This is a beautiful model & render but I think you are off a few years as to this one's model year. Looks more like a 49 or 50.

Thanks! It could be older - the spec image we used were '57 but a relative of mine also had a '52 that looked like this one (not quite as spectacular on the interior though). It is amazing how much metal is in one of these - they do not shatter like a lot of modern cars.

I have to agree with the time line, it looks like a '53' to me!!! Very Nice model work and the textures are super!!!
