Description
Brookwood Cemetery was consecrated by the Bishop of Winchester on 7 November 1854 and opened to the public on 13 November 1854. At that time Brookwood Cemetery was the largest burial ground in the world. Today this is no longer true, but it remains the largest Cemetery in the UK, and is probably the biggest in Western Europe. Since 1854, over 235,000 people have been buried here.

very very beautiful... bravo
Wonderful capture of this beautiful statue bathed in golden light.
Great piece of information about the cemetery and equally a great picture. I like the way you have captured a beautiful sun glow upon the statue. Thanks for sharing this .
Beautiful artistic work
Great pov David, she really glows, nice bit of information as well, 235,000 is a lot of bodies. Excellent work. Bravo!!!!!
Amazingly beautiful...even though you've captured stonework, there's a delicate and wistful touch to it. The golden color is utterly fascinating as it gives the statue a soft, human suppleness...at least that's how it's visually conveyed, and the way the statue stands out against the darker elements of the background is just great! In short, this is an all around good capture!
Excellent capture David, and that Angel seems armless enough LOL. well done.
