Description

I've seen quite a few self-portraits here, and thought I'd give it a try myself. This is an attempt at realism, although I had a hard time keeping the eyes realistic. I somewhat find it difficult to get away from the cartoon style. Anyway, this heavily uses photo reference (mainly for lighting). After painting, I added some filters to attempt to give it texture, but I'm really not sure it worked. It was a fun exercise, though. I do like how the hair came out, however. I'm not sure I'd have thought to use blueish highlights on my own.
