Description
Blossoms of the Jacaranda Tree. Jacarandas are native to Brazil. In the Phoenix area they bloom from early April to middle May. During that time the whole tree is covered with these lavender blossoms. The bad thing is they bloom for only one month, the good thing is once the blossoms fall off they retain the same lavender color. They are very frost sensitive. The photo was taken in April 2006.
Thanks for the kind comments on my previous upload, they are much appreciated.
