Description
I was going to post a photo from the Hollow, but thought this flame combo sort of went along with the dragon theme from the last posting of the Dragonfly! It's Apo flames of course, slow cooked for awhile in PSP.
We were at the Hollow over Halloween, and it was a wonderous time! Cool but mostly sunny days, very cold nights. Thankfully we have heat in the camper, and campfire to sit by in the evenings. On Halloween day, the sun and the clouds played hide and seek with the earth. The clouds were huge, dramatic, and stormy looking, just beautiful. That night the skies cleared and the stars were as bright as I've ever seen them. And then we saw the dragon high in the sky! For some strange reason, we weren't frightened, just mesmerized by it's beauty as it flew across the sky.
I am so far behind on viewing and commenting, and sending out thank you notes to those of you that have favorited my work in the past several weeks, I will try to catch up, and I apologize to you all for being so slow! I value each comment and am astounded, but thrilled at the support I've received from all of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
I hope the coming week brings you joy and happiness, it is bringing us (GASP) SNOW! Truth be told, I'm excited!

PS: the spiral flame came just as you see it (okay so I tweaked it a little in that edit thingy). I did add the green orb (a teensy planetoid) for an eye, and the fangs came from another flame. But the rest of the dragon is pure apo.
Beautiful!!I am playing with apo myself and I think its a blast! I live in Central New york(the snow belt) and I saw some flakes the other day! Beautiful artwork!!
A spectaular work, dear Rita, lovely to read your notes. Sweetheart, do not even try to catch up, it is impossible. Glad you had a wonderous time at the hollow. Hugs for you and cuddle the grrrs, please. Diane. xx
A fantastic and creative scene! Absolutely gorgeous colors and design. Reminds of of a straw dragon made by artisans in UK. Beautiful work
Sounds exciting and beautiful, and I look forward to some pictures. Awesome and beautiful composition, Rita. Fabulous flame work!
This is just fantastic. From the title I thought it was another halloween pic. Instead a beauiful fractal met my eyes!
nice image cool composition
It's a wonder you didn't at least duck when you saw this huge dragon going past but then again he is very beautiful with lots of lovely texture so I guess you would have had to take another look at him. A wonderful find and I love the background you have given him as it makes him stand out beautifully.
Really wonderful image Rita! Well done!...we have snow coming here too....Summer is giving us a miss I think....lol!

Amazing shot of this fantastic dragon, Rita!! You do seem to have a way with your camera! And to catch the moon in the same shot....W O W!!!!! Excellent work!
wonderful rendition of a not-so-very-scary dragon. I love his shape and colors
An elegant dragon snake in a pensive mood. Magical night. I think it is your excitement (with snow and what not) that appeals to people. But it does take time to keep us all happy. ;-)))
This flame is wonderful! the dragon is about to eat the pretty moon! Sad story but beautiful design!
The things one sees when just being still! So wondrous and awe inspiring. Thanks for sharing. BJ
Very spectacular design, so wonderful fractal artwork!
This is my kind of work--- love the elements of mystery and it is definitely a Halloween theme.Curious, a comet exploded around that time in the constellation of Peresus- we can see it for several nights in that region of the sky= it has a "dragon-like" appearance- go figure! Excellent !!!
I'd be mesmerized too, if I saw this in the sky. Hey! Here it is mesmerizing my eyes! Take your time with the catching up, the ebots won't go away on their own. :-))) Enjoy the snow, Rita, and have fun! Hugs, Suzanne
