Description
All the flowers are slowly fading with the cooler weather. This Blue Delphinium is spotted and bug eaten but still trying to bloom. We're expecting our first frost/freeze on Wednesday night when it will be curtains on the flowers and truly Fall. Time to plant some pansies!

I hate to see all the flowers go also. Wonderful capture!!
Oh, what a lovely colour this is............Next year, I do hope to see more of this one.
Nature trying to hold on for as long as it can...more next year for sure..nice image..
I feel the same way in cold weather. A little snow fall on the mountain. Excellent capture. Aloha
Yes, it seems as inevitable as a sunset, doesn't it. Next season's blossoms should entertain us, soon, though.
My delphiniums gave it up about a month ago. They bloomed and bloomed and bloomed again and then sank back into the earth. I am hoping they seeded enough that they will be back next year. If not, I'll have to replant for sure. This is a lovely shot and they really don't look at all bad for so late in the year.
This is beautiful and very sad my Friend. Great depth and clarity. A real keeper for sure. I really love the colors. Did you see my Halloween image? Hoped you liked it. Huggs... Silkylady...
