Description

A real pleasure for me to always go back to my native Cornwall, and I will be doing a mini series of my recent trip there to start off, this is at Fowey at the Bodinnick Ferry departure point.. for a most wonderful walk.. The Hallwalk. Particularly was memorable in autumn and also in winter when leaves no longer obscure the view, but nice at any time of year. One of the prettiest circular walks in Cornwall with wonderful views across the River and down to the estuary mouth to Polruan. We decided to leave their car and catch the ferry across to Polruan. It is beautiful to just take in the hustle and bustle of the Harbour- the incoming tide lapping against the quay walls. . However we did the whole circular walk around 4-5 miles and then catch the ferry back to Fowey from the other side.. More to follow:

So quaint and it is what I pictured whenever the old people of the family got together and talked about places like Cornwall. Seems as though my family had been to or lived in every place that was beautiful and friendly. :-) I love this view - the houses sticking their backsides out on the last bit of green earth, as close to the water as possible, as if being any further away might cause them to crumble. A wonderfully rich sight. Great photo!

I have to say ARGH here Dan. I think the sky is terribly over exposed as are the whites of the buildings (not as much as the sky thou). I think an ND Grad filter or a render between 2 exposures would've been very effective and produced a far more pleasing result. Otherwise I think the shot is delightful in the composition and mood.

With a beautiful view like this to start with, it's gonna be a fascinating series. This reminds me of a scene in the old Christopher Lee movie, "The Wicker Man."
