Description
View on Autumn (C)
Earlier this week the colors in the forests and parks where highlighted by the bright sun.
In some areas the ground was covered with autumn-leaves.
These trees are growing on a very, very old “beach- sand-dune”, nowadays miles and miles away from the sea. A part of the roots are clearly visible because a part of this dune is suffering from erosion. The old core of the village Wassenaar has been build on the old dunes, just like many other villages and towns in the area.
Photo taken in royal estate -The Horsten- , Wassenaar near the Hague.
Thanks for passing by, and your nice comments on my yesterdays posting!!
Have a very nice weekend, in Holland we haven’t seen any sun today

Beautiful light and shade!
Oskar (iaacf) and you are capturing very well the Dutch autumn, Henk ! I really like this kind of image with the long shadows !
Beautiful!!!!!
Wonderful!!!
what a great photo; the roots from those trees are so cool!
I like the way you caught the graceful sweep of those long lower branches. Very nice. And the autumn light filtering in is fantastic.
Beautiful image, well down!!
