Description
Nikon 7900 image.
My last three postings were of a very colorful tiny spider. Todays is of a colorful Dragonfly. This is the last Dragonfly shot I got this season. There are very few Dragonflies left.
I spent two summers trying to get a good picture of this species and this is one of only two times I was successful, lol.
Thanks to those who take the time to comment.

How beautiful! I am always so amazed at the variety of dragonflies you have. I seem to have only 2. I think this color is fantastic but I would think it makes them easy to spot by predators.
Truly incredible capture.
Wow,excellent shot!!!!!!!!
Great macro Lee. However do you get them to stay still long enough to shoot them?

Wonderful capture!!
superb shot
Very Cute Buggy!!
I have never thought of Dragonflies as delicate until today, I have always thought of them as hardy little critters but the colour of this one makes it look delicate. I have only seen one this year( I must get out more) and that was a dark green, one quick flash of its wings and it was gone. This one is beautiful Lee. Bravo!!!!!
