Description
Legend has it that it is the face of the ‘old man in the mountain’ that is largely responsible for these daily dust storms. It is his attempt to drive away the ravages of civilization and preserve the beauty of nature.
Almost 76 hours of render time; two cloud layers; two populations of vegetation: small bushes and some spring flowers. Thanks to Buzzzzz and Tangled Universe for the .tgd file which I somewhat modified. This was combined with the ‘Bright Angel Point’ 512 DEM terrain to produce the scene.
Thanks for viewing this TG2 image; and, your comments and suggestions for improvement.

amazing i thought it 2b a photo This image has VIsion Imagination Creativity and Excellence Thank you if you have every seen my work i popsted my last image ever thank you deeply VICE.
I like a lot the dust effect.
Wouldn't change a single thing. Fantastic image all round. But IF I was forced to make a suggestion, a little more variation in the size of the shrubs might be more interesting. I might try a little more variation in the color shading of the distant hills, although in nature, at a distance the hills might very well be fairly uniform in color. But truly, this is masterful in ambiance, lighting, rock work, distribution of the plants and especially the clouds. Super nice, Bob.
Agree with stbc. I'm essentially lost for words, let alone crits.
Your TG2 images are coming with more of the "classic choronr" touch. Wonderful atmosherics throughout. I especially like the sun through the cloud layers; can't make any suggestions, so I will just oggle it.
Very beautiful scenery, lighting and atmo!!! I like it a lot!!!
This is amazingly beautiful, Bob!!! Everything is beautiful, not a flow on this one. SUPERB render!!!!
Beautiful Tg2 render.Like a lot the atmo settings!
This looks really good. The dust really adds a lot to the scene and brings it to life.
Fantastic textur and wonderful atmo!
The mist/haze looks like some of the landscapes you might see here in So. California with all the recent fires we're suffering with. It actually looks like that in some places.
Lovely terrain and clouds.
Wonderfully done, Bob! A must see in full size at least of respect for those 76 hours of render time (wow, more then three days and nights!!!) I especially like how you create the dust storm! Bravo!!!
excellent work,bravo!
Very nice mood, effects, lighting, and scene arrangement to this nice base of the moutains landscape art creation!!! I viewed it 1st, then read your fine intro text. As I viewed it I thought of evening mists beginning to form and how the small purple flowers catching the last of the sunlight almost turn into evening magical fairies! What's mice is your fine art creation above is finely made amd allows for many interesting interpertations, a sure sign of effective, powerful, well made art!!!
Like too the atmo settings
The dust is such a great idea and helps create a wonderful image. Congrats!
Flawless atmos! Good PoV.
You have managed to achieve excellence with this difficult program! Love the haze especially, but this image looks splendid all over!
exquisite !! F
Wonderful and an excellent title!
Beatiful atmo really !!
The haze really sets this image off. Love the serene mood and the rich vegetation on the ground.
Brilliant work on clouds and atmo... 76 hours on your new powerful computer ? I can't wait for TG2 multithreaded... ;-)
By leaps and bounds, you are making tremendous headway with TG2, Bob! A 513 DEM? Amazing! Maybe a little size variation in the veg objects would help, but hardly a distraction. Keep on keeping on!
The dust storm is awesome....great mood and atmo !
Oh Bob, what I can say, it is a masterpiece par excellence++++++
