Photograph digitally altered. The original photo was taken of my youngest daughter when she was pregnant with her third son. I shot it against a white backdrop. The background is a photo I took on a trip to Maine. I then added my daughter to it. Painting this piece took longer than I thought it would, about three weeks. I use the photos as a template and then I completely paint the painting as I imagine it to be. I had great fun with the jewelry and the hairpiece. This was one of my very first digital pieces. There are actually several variations of this painting. This piece is cropped above her pregnant belly, then there is the full length (I will be adding that one later), and the last piece was done after my grandson was born. I added him to the piece and gave him little fairy wings and tinged the whole piece in an array of brilliant blues. I will be adding that piece here as well so you can see the differences. Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy.
