Description
Another image from my Star Vessels Series of Corel Draw images done in 2000-2001 and reworked to exaggerate the cartoon-style being used. Star Freighter "Capacious" consists of a large frame with command, crew, propulsion, and hangar modules attached. Cargo containers are held inside the frame with tractor beams as well as physical connections. The small ships docked at the bottom of the large vessel are sublight haulers that ferry cargo modules from planetary orbit to the surface. The thick plate mounted to the underside of the "Capacious" is a heavy duty tractor beam capable of towing cargoes too large to fit inside the frame such as large starships and small asteriods.
