Description

I just bought a new Nikon D40 SLR, with a AF-S Nikkor 18-55 mm lens! It's not the highest end to be sure, but it's a heck of a step up from my old 1.3 megapixel Olympus I've used for many years. I'm still a long way from knowing how to use the beast, but this is gonna be so much fun to learn... This is a test-snap (with pretty much everything on automatic) that I haven't adjusted except to reduce the size some and the border of a feather-mask I bought at the last renfaire (www.beckalynsmasquerade.com) from an artist I really admire. I'll be wearing it in a couple of weeks at a really big festival (pictures will be posted here, if I take any good ones) Comments are of course welcome, especially if you know of some good lenses to get for this new toy of mine!
