Description
"There once was a slimy old catfish, That could often be very snappish. He swam in the muck, Could quack like a duck, And liked his water quite brackish." ~ me
Yeah, now I'm doing limmerics, hahahah. Here is an infrared tree trunk - Ficus I believe. It reminded me of catfish whiskers, even though the resemblance stops there. Be sure to view large for the best detail. :'] ------
Thanks for your towering comments on my previous upload,
The Singing Tower
And yes, it does sing - with a carillon.

A marvelous taken macro IR photography! I'm always newly fascinated about your creativity!!!
catfishesque lol I love it .. this is great in b&w.
The IR appears to be almost lost as there appears no life since there are no leaves present. Thank you for sharing. egmont
Kind of cute. I see the left whisker as a nose.
Very beautiful!!!!
Fantastic shot and I see the catfish whiskers... but I see catfish everywhere. LOL
Very surreal, this is a superb work.
HAHA ! Yes it could look like a catfish. Well seen and captured. Lovely clarity.
Original and creative as always...

real cool shot. it do look like a catfish
Funny limmeric and decapitated (Fig) catfish, again the IR really brings out the bark texture very well, fine capture Kort ! ~Cheers~ :o)
A ficus with alien antennae. Great clarity, textural and lighting effects in this shot, Kort!
Very imaginative shot and I love the limmerick. That IR really shows up the detail here.
Kort, what a catfish! and a fossilized one at that. Very neat pov and shot. Thanks for this one.
Very beautiful light, textures and hues!!!
wonderful and deep as always
The IR was a good call, since it's almost black-and-white but not quite, and the "not quite" really helps increase the funk levels here. The composition is also excellent and your DOF is, as usual, perfect.
Now this is really kewl. Excellent find and work. Aloha
