Description
In route to Europa
The nuclear spaceship USS Savannah passing Jupiter on it’s way out to rendezvous with Europa. The Savannah will be in the Jovian system for a little over 4 months before making the journey back to earth.
The model was created and design in Bryce 6.1 by me. This project took about 4 ½ months to complete. As the project moves forward there will always be redesigns of certain section as I put the ship in various scenes.
Like all of my work this project is a work in progress and I hope to bring a lot more of this project including the landing and exploration of 2 moons in the Jovian system Europa and Ganymede.
Thanks again for all the positive feedback and comments of encouragement about my work. I hope that what I show sets a positive view of what the future holds for the exploration of our solar system.
Cheers,
David

Another excellent and very authentic looking design. NASA should be using you for their concept work. I can't help but think that even when it becomes technically and economically possible for humans to get to Jupiter, short termism will kill such an idea off.
Is it my imgination or is the edge of Jupiter a little too defined? Great work as always! 5
Superb model and image David :)
Well done. 5+.
Awe inspiring work and made doubly so by the fact that it was modeled in Bryce!!! As a modeler, I salute you your vision and talent. Looking forward to more of this fantastic Project.
Awesome scene. Excellent work, David.
Yes, a fine illustration. Always love your modeling and will look forward to visiting Europa with you and the crew of the USS Savannah.
That is well done smooth and totaly superb nice picture. Love it.
So how would you overcome the massive magnetic field surrounding big gas planets like Jupiter? An electron in that field... well you know... we human beings are quit weak, we'll be fried. As always nice render. Can't believe you're still using Bryce though.
WOW...this is a superb image. I love the superb realism of it, including the way light hits hard surfaces in a largely featureless background. Yeah, you have stars and a planet, but beyond that, it's quite an accurate rendition, beautifully composed...the only thing it's lacking is a musical score by Gyorgi Legetti and 20 incomprehensible minutes contributed by Stanley Kubrick...though I'd say your image is far better than that. Great work and I'm glad I discovered your gallery!
David 1. I thank you for the comments to my artwork " On a lunar orbit ". In the following job there will be a new idea. 2. Your job " In route to Europa " very much has liked to me. Greetings, Sergey
Love it
