Description
Vue6I, PSP to add in the fog: It took a while to get the speculars dialed in for all the different plant materials to give it that surreal, early morning mist look. The cave and rock formations are a couple of standard terains with a custom procedural material. The swamp trees are from RDNA. The rest of the vegetation are Linda's Lush Plants (grasses, underbrush, etc).

Beautiful work !! excellent lighting and detail
You can almost feel the damp warm humid air, excellent!!!!
very nice :)
Boy, how I would love to jump in that water and splash around right about now! Fantastic detail in the scene setup and the foliage, the materials lend a nice touch of realism, as well...especially on the rocks. Nice work on the atmosphere, the fog resting on the water is a really nice touch! And I can't believe you and Dave were at SIGGRAPH! I missed both of you there! I wish you mentioned this in the forums so I could be on the lookout for you! Well, there's always next year in LA I suppose. =) Excellent work!
Stunning scene, Dave! Love the boggy feel to this. The vines look exceptional here!
I enjoy jungle scenes like this. I like how you've varied the water texture.
Hey Dave, very nice. I especially like the trees on the left, with the old trunks and vines-- where it looks like there might be some alien creature there or dinosaur or something-- though I'm not crazy about the foreground rock texture.
I think Chipp was right about the foreground rocks. So I revise it and made them less slimy looking.
Beautifully done! We have a huge pond in the backyard, this reminds me of it so much!
Excellent atmosphere and "tropical swampy" feel, Dave!!!
Magnificent atmosphere !!! GREAT WORK !!!
