Description
It's been a long time between drinks, so to speak.
I honestly don't know if I should be uploading this at all, because I strongly consider it to be a work in progress; although knowing me I may never work on it again.
I'm content with the composition, as well as the overall tone; but I have allot of texture and lighting work to do before I can post this clean, and free of most of the cliche Photoshop filters.
Apollo Maximus 2007
Baggins Bill's shader (tragically diluted with filters)
Poser 7
Photoshop CS2

Fabulous work, I love the grindhouse feel to it. I'm thinking a fella could have a lot of fun with this. you know color in the spatters, add some grunge kinda stuff, this would rock on any number of levels. I'd like to see ya do more of it, but thats just me. Nice work for sure, oh did I mention the composition? NICE!!!!
Fantastic and splendid portrait...bravissimo!V:DDD.Hugsxx
The image looks unusual and interesting. A better quality render would do it more justice. I find it really very disturbing that I cant see the eyes... most likely that this was your intention (so it works well).
Love the "grit" of the image. well done
good censoration of the blood seems so urban!!!
Well the composition is really great and I like the effects as a matter of fact. This reminds me of Pitch Black. Maybe the thing covering his eyes is the alien. And Riddick is avoiding the aliens line of sight. This works really well IMO.
To explore is a condition of art; so let´s give a welcome to the exploration and the curiosity within this image. I´ll keep looking forward to the next steps.
Thank you all for your possitive feedback. I honestly didn't expect any, given the incomplete nature of this image. I've had some very interesting suggestions from Newbie_Renderer that I'll toy with over the weekend (thanks!).
Wicked sweet look and perfect use of light love it!!!!
Your avatar reminds me of the black actor that starred in the matrix... great resemblence. I didn't figure out that was a sword in front of his eyes until my second or third look... The white splatter would look great in bright red.
Excellent!!!!
I like it the way it is, actually like the gritty feel. The only thing that looks out of place is the texture of the thing in front of his eyes (which I assumed was a blade). I don't mean it shouldn't be there, only that the texture or lack of looks wrong.
