Description
DO TAKE TIME TO ZOOM THIS PICTURE; YOU'LL ENJOY IT MUCH MORE IF YOU DO.
Zym has been back on her home planet, Callandro II, for twenty-one Callandro years, yet she yearns for another place, the home of her hearts. As a young adult, she was a minor member of her planet's trade delegation to Arriste IV. She grew into her full adulthood, living there for twenty-three years. She fell in love with the strange vivid green chlorophyll of that world's plants. And even more so, with its vivid autumn coloration, of which the duller autumnal hues recalled to mind the summer vegetation of Callandro. The bright splashes of reds, oranges, and yellows were beyond her wildest imaginings contrasted against a more blue sky than that of her birth planet.
She longs with all her being to return to Arriste, but such a possibility is remote at best. During her lunch breaks, her eyes closed, a smile on her lips, Zym daydreams that she has returned to the planet that claims her hearts. She has become an exile living on the planet of her birth.

I know how Zym feels. Forty-seven years ago, I lived for two wonderful years in Japan. I've longed to be there every day since. Don't get me wrong. I love America, but Japan is my artistic and spiritual home. It's where, given a choice, I would be. However, life closes doors even as it opens new ones. My life has been what it has been. I am content; but it took a long time to get to that point.
Thanks for looking and for any comments.
Take care,
Jeremy
