Description
"I am in a lush garden that's only 100 meters by fifty. A little dog rolls in the dust. A disheveled young man, in a hammock, reads an English pamphlet without even looking up at me. ~ Georges Simenon
Don't ask why I chose that quote -- it had the words "garden" and "disheveled" and that was good enough for me. Please view the image full size for the best detail. Here is a photo of the formal gardens of the Pinewood Estate in central Florida. It is a Mediterranean Revival mansion built in the 1930s -- which made it seem like a good photo to dedicate to Margana (Marlene), who's birthday it is today. ;'P HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARLENE! ------

Excellent IR-shot, very sharp and great composed. Bravo
I wish that little patch of baby blue on the far right side for otherwise it looks so much like a winter scene. The semetry is something I find very interesting. Thank you for sharing. egmont
it's like winter pics ;o) lol i like the mood here, very ... 'slow' .. you know... that kind of pic that make you live the life a little bit slower, to appreciate it a little bit more ;o)
wonderful image
Looks to be a gathering of sorts....Great IR
Another gorgeous IR shot Kort. I've been to Pinewood Estate before (years ago mind you) and really love the way that shooting the gardens in IR change the entire feel and atmospher of the place.
If I remember correctly this is in Polk County and part of the park where the carillon is located... I never got to see this place but I heard a lot about it and I had hoped I might have a chance to see it some day ... This is a fantastic shot! The division of neat and unkempt is wonderful. Good eye and lovely shot.
a bit of trimming needs to be done here...wonderful shot
Excellent dedication for Marlene, I can not help but be reminded of snow when viewing the IR images.
looks like a dream beautiful postwork and result!!
The muted IR tones are great and the grass looks just like shag pile ! The gardener has a bit of catching up to do, fine capture Kort ! ~Cheers~ :o)
OMG! I don't know who is worse, you or Kai, who called his dedi, Fighting the Signs ( of aging )! Sniff....lol. Awww thank you, Kortalouche. It really is very sweet of you to dedi this beautiful image to me in honor of my bday. I almost....almost bought an IR filter today, but after seeing this, I know I could never acheive such beauty, so it was probably best I didn't. Gorgeous photoart as always...and my sincerest thanks for your thoughtfulness...and your friendship. Hugsss! -M :^)
Yup, someone's bushes need a haircut, or at least a manicure. Just take a little off the top, please. Another great IR effect in this lovely capture.

Beautiful! I love the composition. This kept me staring for quite a while!
These clipped little trees look to be dancing in the snow in this lovely IR capture. The whole scene looks like in a fairy tale.
