Red Cathedral, Death Valley.
After a nice hike trough the Golden Canyon (just below Zabriskie view Point) you are rewarded by a fantastic view on the Red Cathedral.
Walking in the afternoon at the bottom of the Golden Valley, with still a burning sun and not much of shaddow, is an interesting challenge ................. it was dry and warm, uhhhh Hot, even in the month of
May. We enjoyed it very much and especially lateron the glasses of beer which tasted like liquid gold!!!

The contrast in earth color is wonderful. The white of the foreground and the red of the looming rocks. The red reminds me so much of Sedona's red rocks... Excellent hot...errrr, I mean excellent shot. :-)

Great colors in this shot, with the clear blue sky and red and white rocks. Also, the way you've framed the cathedral between the white rocks is exceptional and lends the scene a nice 3-D feel. Good stuff.
