Description
Nikon 7900 image.
Today while checking on the various caterpillars and such that I always see on the Passionflower vines, I noticed a couple of new little critters I have not seen before. This is one of them. I will post the other one tomorrow.
This little guy was hard to get a shot of. It gets it's name because it lives on Passionflower vines and it hops like a flea. I can attest to it's hopping abilities, lol.

wow that is an itresting looking little bug nice find!
Very unusual color and markings. It really would stand out on the plant. Wonder what nature's reason is for that. It almost looks like someone took an orange bug and some black paint and painted the black on its back and the touches of it on the legs. A jumper, huh? I bet that was fun :-)
Lovely bug intersting colored.
Never seen one of these before, although the shape is familar with the cardinal and lily beetles. Nice details on this. Bravo!!!!!
What a creepy looking little guy this is! I bet you were pleased when you finally got this great shot - couldn't have been easy if he was jumping around like a flea!! Wonderful colours and superb DOF. Brilliant macro. xx
