Description
I have hit one of those "I hate my work and I am uninspired stages where I also hate Poser 6-7 limitations". This render came about after seeing an ad for "Becoming Jane" a movie here in the US about Jane Austen's life - although quite a bit is fictionalized as she was a quiet person. Jane Austen (16 December 1775–18 July 1817) was an English novelist whose works include Sense and Sensibility, Pride and Prejudice, Mansfield Park, Emma, Northanger Abbey, and Persuasion. Her social commentary and masterful use of both free indirect speech and irony eventually made Austen one of the most influential and honoured novelists in English literature. Her novels were all written and set around the Regency Era. She never married and died at age 41. Although the movie claims she had a lover that her family would not allow her to marry. How hard it must of been for women in those days. The fact that she became a published writer at all is amazing.
The basic set is from Mostdigitalcreations site and is called "Writing Room". I changed the floor and window textures and the chair, which is a freebie by Toni Lynch. The bookcase and writing box on the floor are freebies from Ness Period Reproductions. Her hair is Alanis Hair by FKDesigns at 3Dcommune. Her dress is from the V4 Dynamic Trousseu at Daz with the materials changed to satin. Poser 7 refused to raytrace with this one for some reason but did render without raytracing. I think the latest service releases have made P7 worse.
For those of you who have asked about my horse, Buddy, is is doing great. The Vet was wrong about his leg, and he is sound and a real sweetheart. It has been so hot here in Michigan -the humidity from all the lakes is what makes it so miserable - makes all sports difficult. It is one of the hotest summers we have had in years.
Thank you so much for your comments!!!! They mean a lot to me!!!!!

So sorry you've hit that terrible stage Sherrie but this is really a great image and a superb tribute. The character is amazing as is the detail all around. I especially like the warm feeling from the room itself so much.
i find this whole piece truly outstanding, there is so much to compliment here, 9+
this pic resonates well, the colours (not quite sepia, not quite yellow) and the smoking cnadle (animal fat/tallow as opposed to more mdern recipes for parafin, movie candles never burn with smoke) adds a sense of realism..... very nicely done!
very nice!!!!
Both superb render and very interesting reading. I am so pleased to know the your horse is ok
wonderfully set up sherrie!! Love the little details in this :O)
Beautiful lighting and postwork!!
What a fantastic composition, an excellent image. Fantastic work with the light. I like the mood you've created!
Ya Poser can be a pain, theres always Carrara, it rocks for that sort of thing.

MARAVILHOSA CRIAÇÃO,FANTÁSTICOS DETALHES,FABULOSA ILUMINAÇÃO.+++++++++++5
Excellent scene, nice image!
watch out for the heat. it got me sick. cool render
It's hot here in Israel too, -very hot! And no air conditioning, -too expensive. Just a ceiling fan to blow the hot air around. Maybe that's why remapped Vic 4.1 and remapped Posette got lost on their way to the nudist beach, -they're suffering from amnesia induces by heat stroke. Dehydration is a definite hazard here! Yesterday someond died from it. I loved Kate Beckinsale's performance in the British TV version of Emma. Excellent render, DO keep up the good work. Am in the process of remapping Vic's hands. Then the fingernails, and that should be it. I've been advised by my friend Stahlratte not to bother with things like the eye's, lashes, teeth, and tongue, as in those areas the V4 textures tend to be either better, or really not worth the effort. I'll think on it; perhaps release the epidermus remap now, and these more internal parts as a free update. Yours truly, David P. Hoadley
An excellent, well composed, beautifully rendered scene!!!!!
I'm glad your horse is alright and thanks for the write up, as my first impression here was "Why would the wife of the Six-Million Dollar man be dressed like that?" Yeah, I should probably read more...
Stunning work and just love that candl light. Captured a moment in time here... Excellent...
This is incredible, thank you for thaking the time to type up all of that info, and then making this beautiful image to go with it. It is perfect in just about every way.
