Description
This is admittedly at the extreme end of our camera's range and not so great but I wanted to share it anyway. We went for breakfast in France Park (Cass County, In.) fairly early this morning and saw this family: a mother Turkey and her brood, all ten of them. If I could have gotten closer the shot would be better but, well, there you have it.
Hope your weekend is nice and
Thanks for Looking!

Great capture, Ken. What a big family. Very interesting shot!
This was so cool, so cool. We should be hearing a lot of gobble gobbles in the near future.... right bunny? So........ now we know what we heard before was a wild turkey.
Too bad it was not clearer but it is a wonderful shot and probably a wonderful memory. I have never scene wild turkeys myself.
Hmmmm. Around our house, Wild Turkey has a whole different meaning. :-) Great shot here even at this distance. Always a thrill seeing these birds in person.
this is cool. I never saw a wild turkey. I heard they hard to see and get close too.
Oh...free Thanksgiving feasts ! well maybe next year ! Kool extreme zoom shot, we have wild Turkeys in OZ, but we call them Bush Turkeys and they have a red head and a yellow ribbon-like colour around the neck. Well done & ~Cheers~ :o)
Don't think I have ever seen baby turkeys. Interesting capture.
A little blur no? looks like a huge family here ! Good day :)
Many do not know but turkeys are very intelligent and skittish. This is an amazing shot because you were able to snap it at all. The only broods we've seen have been in Wisconsin while driving by at 60 miles/hour :) Last time hubby said 'look at the HERD of turkeys'. I still tease him about that :)
