The Great Grey Owl is one of the largest owls to be found anywhere.. However, much of its size is deceptive, since this species' fluffy feathers, long tail and large head obscure a body lighter than most other large owls from this noble looking head which is around the size of a small football the head is no much bigger than a small tangerine, as its hearing is sensational able to hear small prey underneath a couple of foot of snow, perhaps that takes up a large part of its brain!! This one made me laugh as it took some time to settle down into a nice pose as it kept looking at itself in the reflection of a small pond.. Guess you cant have everything beauty as well as brains!!
