Description
Everyone in the UK, I am sure, will have heard "Is this the way to Amarillo?" by Tony Christie as it is very well known. I am not sure whether it was so popular anywhere in the world. I was wrecking my brain trying to think of a title for this image(from Pickering again!) and came up with this. I think it suits it quite well, don't you!! A little something funny to end the week and see us into the weekend!

Oh! Eileen simply wonderful shot and PERFECT title. I adore you humour. Splendid work lass ;-)) Hugs to you and dear Ian. Diane. xx
Superb composition and lovely colours
Amarillo has been the subject of several songs so Britain having one is no surprise. when I first went through Amarillo it was just a dusty west Texas town, now it is a dusty fair size city. superb capture of the 2 people.looks like you planned it but I know it was a candid shot
Amarillo? The Amarillo in Texas, no doubt. How about "Is this the way to San Jose?" written by Burt Bacharach? Excellent POV, lighting, colors/colours, and nice, sharp textures in this magnificent shot, Sis!
nice shot.
Oh this is just too wonderful!! And she replied, "No, but I can direct you to San Jose" .. Oh my goodness, thank you for the giggles, and for the fantastic shot! Hey .. was that sign on the bench or did you insert it?
I was thinking about San Jose as well, but I see my dear friend Harry beat me to it, and then Grrr mentioned it too! Oh well. DO you know the way to San Jose? Perhaps it's on the next track over. (Excellent shot, btw! You've got us all going in so many different directions with this, I almost forgot to say how much I'm loving your work!)
I am fond of this serie that I haven't looked up for a while ! Sorry. Such typical people. A humorous wink to familiar situations...
Nice capture...
Well, I've never heard it :o) and that's quite an outfit the man has on too ! ....great capture
Excellent capture!
"Did that man just run down the street NAKED?!" Hehehe, I love this shot, it's so expressive.
Beautiful expressive scene, very well captured!
Great capture!!!
Wonderful capture and humor Eileen! I agree with itsumama, this would be hysterical here, and there is a little creature called an Amarillo as well, which would be a strange contrast to these fine folk and your image ;)
Excellent catch here! Very well done!
Great and fun capture. Any Texan will tell y'all that if he's pointin' west, then he's pointin' towards Amarillo.
very hilarious....really funny
Excellent and funny shot!
the human interest in your photos is brilliant...!!
Loooove the title. Very clever, Eileen! And LOL at these two. What a great capture from your Pickering series. Love em all!
Hah! Hah! Hah!
