Description
Nikon 7900image.
I first saw the female of this species a few weeks ago and managed to get some shots but they were not great.
It took over a week before I saw the first male. It then took two more days and an hour of standing in the hot sun before I managed to get a few pics of it but I am glad to say, they turned put pretty good.
Thanks to those who take the time to comment.

this turned out excellent. I am fascinated by the different bands of color on the wings. Really nice and all the work that went into it was worth it.
your time in the hot sun surely paid off. very beautiful.

The variety of wing and body colours amaze me! You always mention waiting on the male. Are they more colourful or just larger? BJ
