Description
Pickering Castle is set in an attractive moors-edge market town. It is a classic and wellpreserved example of an early earthwork castle refortified in stone during the 13th and 14th centuries, centred upon a shellkeep crowning an impressive motte.

Such impressive colors... a very nice pict!
Beautiful ruins and your capture! Just wish the railing was not there, but alas, you have to keep the tourists safe :)
Beautiful! Excellent capture!
A very good capture.
"wellpreserved"? Well I really want to see the others. Nice photo.
What an amazing ruin. The staircase is fantastic - I'd love to have a stroll around this castle. xx
