Description
Leave the Rest Behind
Born into a world an unwanted child
Birth control did not exist at that time
Harsh words to hear at such a young age
Eyes reflecting such angry souls were common
Emotions were constantly clashing
Everything so confused and misunderstood
Words always seemed so harsh and brutal
No emotions were allowed at all
Telling me I was no good
Crushing my dreams
Bruising my body and mind
Just so I would behave
Wondered at times why crying was not allowed
Emotions were a sign of weakness I did not believe
But still there were no tears growing up
Loneliness was a part of my life
My own mother would not hold me
I was not loveable according to her
I realize now what I did not know then
The way she grew up
Was just as harsh
She was human after all
Afraid to love
Like me
At one time

Remarkable work! 5+!
A subject near to my heart! That realization coming to the surface allows the next step...forgiveness. Once we are able to serve notice on all the fear, pain and negative feelings in our heart, the current residents, there is room to move in the new residents of joy, peace and love. First, love of ourselves, then we just can't help but love everyone. Hugs, love, peace and a huge smile, Linda. Suzanne
Wow so much emotion very moving hugs lou x
So sad that parents push what was done to them upon their children. Been there done that and didnt buy the T shirt. In spite of it all just like you said they are only human. I knew what my mom went thu so that is why I understood everything done to me. It is all good tho made me stronger and how not to treat my own kids
Very emotional work!!
Fantastic work!! 5+
Just incredibly emotional work!! I am floored, wow very harsh reality.
one of the most expressive prose you have posted here. I knew my mother loved me, but when I was a child I felt her hatred toward men
Beautiful work...
Not loveable? I'll just bet you were lied to about other things, as well. Warm hugs to one of the most loveable people I know. :)
words can heal but unfornutally they can hurt so bad too. Very nice
