Description
I have seen animals mate but none have shown the gentle and tender nature of these two lions. The two images do not show enough of the soft touches, the licks and caresses of the male. Afterwards, he sat beside her for a moment then both slept.
The top image is a part of the caress and the lower is after. The background of actual mating is covered enough to avoid

magnificent presentation and thank you for not posting the "deed." I have seen about all the "spring action" I can take for one year. :-) These are marvelous, tender and wholesome shots.

Excellent captures and thanks so much for the resume !
Fantastic and tastefully done!!!
So beautifully tender. Such devotion from the male. Excellent presentation - I just hope I can be this fortunate on my trip to a wildlife park on Wednesday!! xx
What a lovely collage! It is almost surreal the amount of tenderness these majestic creatures can display towards family, when we consider the savagery they are capable of. Well done Sir! BJ
Beautiful images of beautiful big cats! Love the postwork on the background shot, would like to see it by itself too, without being covered by the other two.
Excellent shot!
LOL!! excellent background, beautiful composition, the female is fantastic ^__^
How tender and beautiful. How can they call some people animalistic? That is an insult to the animal world.
