Description
Graphite on bristol.
Photo reference, Red Cloud Oglala Sioux, photo taken by Edward S. Curtis sometime before 1930.
This is part of a series of The People which I am currently working on to study the use of light and dark. Curtis is one of the most phenominal photographs to use in this study.
To all of you from me, my deepest and most heartfelt thank you for your encouragements through the years.

Awesome, wonderful portrait from the proud man!!! Fantastic drawing, Pete!!!
Red Cloud and Sitting Bull were the names that I used as an alias for my emails. I profoundly respect their honorable names. The respect that I have for Native Americans Chiefs is unforgettable. They will ALWAYS be my heroes!!! SUPERB drawing, Pat!!!
Splendid work!

Well detailed! The hair has a soft texture to it and the face looks so realistic! Very cool:)
