Description

From Star Gate Atlantis. Kicking the Puddle Jumper into high gear for a fast getaway. ____________________________________________ Actually, this was just a quick test of my freebie downloads, since one artist said that the LW models caused Vue to crash. I used both freebie LW files for this image imported into Vue 5 Inf. Retextured one item, 'struts' to make sure there was no problem with re-texturing. Then stuck a sphere behind the gate and gave it a water texture and some luminosity, added two square point lights behind the engines, and rendered in superior mode. Oh, I also added the Vue generic 'Planet'. Rendertime was just minutes.

I've never had a problem with import/export with LW and Vue, I do know when you first install Vue, it asks you which other software you use...LW, Poser, etc. maybe this is what is preventing thta person from importing ? a re-install should fix this ! Kool model and a very generous freebie offer ! ~Cheers~ :o)

Regarding a reported system crash while importing my LW models, I put a message out to e-on. Here is what the ever responsive and helpful e-on folks said: Make sure that the user in question is up to date with the latest upgrades to Vue 6. Keep in mind that Vue6 is still very new, and there will be the occasional bug to be squashed. They downloaded several of my model files and all of them worked in various versions of Vue 6. So if there was a LW object-Vue 6 incompatibility, it apparently was fixed, and anyone interested in importing LW objects can do so without worry.
