This is the Venus Statue and fountain in the garden of Bolsover Castle. Not much is known about it. It's sunken down into the grass around the edge are what appear to be seats so it is thought they may have bathed in the waters.

A lovely statue and a beautifully captured. You certainly have a flare for architectural photography. This is lovely. xx
It is a wonderful capture, David. Such grace and elegance of a time gone by. I love this walled garden :-) the little black door leading to the house. I agree with Chrissy, you do have a talent for this type of shot. Beautiful work!! Have a lovely day. Hugs, Diane.
Wonderfull statue... fabullous capture!
Nice shot!
How intresting that the cupids are of the 'tacky' sort... making water. I've never seen that in a period fountain before.... then, maybe I never looked that closely! ;-D
cool spot to dip the feet in on a hot sunny day perhaps...lovely shot
