Description
Vince is attempting to lift some lava onto his walking stick. He struggles some what to break it apart. Eventually he does and with out any flying towards us. Not sure what happened with my settings but it was set on Aperture Priority mode. There should have been more light but I think when the stick caught on fire, it changed the setting automatically. My guess. But all in all, I think it came out alright. Aloha and thank you for viewing

nice capture and yes it came out alright... i like these hot lava shots...
Intriguing darkness and richness. Looks to me like one just moved to the surface of the moon and figured out how to make fire. Excellent
Looks like another hot time in the ole town tonight. Hehehehe, boy, you guys never cease to amaze me. Aloha
The heat that seems to be generated from the larva is most intersting. Certainly great care needs to be taken. Thank you for sharing. egmont
sharky, this is great like velvet better like "the velvet underground" with the famous musician "lou reed" (laughing)! lg. lordlotte
Seeing this long stick dug into the lava make me sit on the edge of my chair. I like you captured his hand too as he holding a stick!
About!!! In this photo a flame.
Excellent capture!
I guess you can wave goodbye to Vince' stick LOL. Very cool shot, dangerous but cool non the less!!
there is one in every crowd...sticks and hot stuff go great together...PS how did my log post make you hungry? lol
Great capture of the fire. I particularly like the darkness in this one, it focuses the eyes more on the lava and flames. xx
I like the flames too! This looks like a blast furnace glow~ Glad you all made it back safe... you get mighty close to the source~!
A very nice shot. Great job.
alright? I do not think so as all your lava shots are exceptional
Beautiful :)
You do like playing with fire, don't you!!! Another great shot in this series, Errol. Well done
Actually, I like it a bit darker. It is more dramatic and you can see the molten details even better. Nice work Errol!
This is a hot shot indeed. Excellent capture, looks very impressive!!
Wow it cam out fine. So awesome to see, its so amazing.
Very artistic and graphic how put the stick. Great colours
This picture remind me a glass factory! :)
Don't know a thing about the settings, but I'd say this came out quite nicely. Very interesting. :)
A splendid shot, Errol.. More like a night shot. I like this very much, wonderful flames in the fire. Happy evening, stay safe my friend. Aloha. Diane.
You always on the edge... impressive !
Goodness, it looks like a nighttime capture of the beginning of a brush fire up in the hills of Southern California. Fine shot, aperature controls notwithstanding.
hehe!!! Very cool!!! Or should I say very HOT!!!:))
Superb capture!
I think the exposure works here - too much and you would loose the wonderful detailing in the flames - the limited dynamic range of film and digital can be both a blessing and a curse. I love your lava shots!
where are the weiners and marshmallows? L This shot came out superb sharky! Looks as though a monster may crawl out of there ....eeeeeeeeeeeeek lol
love it when the camera do a super one for you. it a gift to you. this is super looking
