Description
Lake Ballinger is in South Snohomish County, North of Seattle, in Washington State. It covers a little over 100 acres, and has a nice island in the middle. No power boats allowed. Electric motors are okay.
I took this photo while standing on the boat launch next to the fishing dock. I think it was in early April.
I'm feeling quite decadent, posting an image in the middle of the day. My brother signed me up with Gallery Plus for my birthday, so now I can bother you up to three times a day if I feel like it! :)

Good to hear no power boats allowed....prevent danger, disturbance and pollution. Excellent shot. Aloha
ahhh the stillness of the lake.... nice capture
The "bother " is such a bonus, Tara.. Glorious capture, such peace in this place. Love the natural framing too. Hugs. Diane.
I agree with Di, a bonus for us if you do treat us three times daily!! Such a tranquil scene with beautiful reflections on the water. Great shot. xx
Looks like somebody in one of those pedal boat things. Love the duck, and the reflection along the waters edge.
Your brother rocks! What a great guy, and it will be nice to see you post when you want Tara. This is a wonderful capture, peaceful, calm and beautiful...You make me wonder why I left the area...just for a minute! LOL Hugs :)
Excellent Capture....Makes Me Want To Go There!!!
Great shot!!!!!!!!
a sleepy part of the world, my kind of place! great pic
very good shot of this lake . like the bird in it
OMG, three times a day? A wonderful birthday gift, and most magnanimous of your brother, but, it also means I have to conjure up three times as many profound comments as before, unless you emulate the policy of Valerie-Ducom and Ilona, which allows only one comment, reserved for the last photo. That would save a lot of typing. Anyway, a nice, serene photograph of Lake Ballinger, Tara, a spot that would make Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn green with envy. I like the POV and DOF of it all. Happy postings, my dear!
Tara!!! I want go to fish there!!! are there fish??? Good shot!! Roby ;O)
ooooooooooo, how sweet. This is a very comfortable view and a nice clear shot.
Very peaceful image of a beautiful lake!!!

How peaceful....What a nice gift from your brother....Happy B-day tomorrow.
Such a beautiful place. So calming. Aloha
What a wonderful brother you have :))) I am looking forward to se alllll of your "bothers" ;) This scene here is so beautiful and I would like to go fishing there if there are any of them.
Roby and Helle - Yes, there are fish. They stock the lake every year with trout. Happy fishing! :)
Oh fer pete's sake Tara, you're such a bother ! LOL ....nice brother too...got any xtra ones hangin' around heehee....great shot m'dear S ~ Hugs ~
Awesome scenery though quite a bright picture :))!!!
Kalina - Yes, it's very sad. The sky here is white most of the time. There's a song that says "The bluest skies you've ever seen are in Seattle," but that's only true if you're at 30,000 feet! We have an average of 75 clear days a year. The other 290 days the sky is white or gray.
Marvellous light and clors... great pict!
You know, you really are a very tallented photographer, lighting and composure are always perfect and this is another incredible example
You've created a very serene mood here, Tara. I like this one a lot.
What a wonderful brother! Happy Birthday too! You look to be about..oh, let's seeeee....29? :) Hope you had a great one :) Beautiful lake, lots of pines in the distance and the budded trees are almost full. I'm not back, just dropping in to spank you on your b-day. Bea and I opened a store at 3DC and I'm busy making products. Hugs!
Where is my pole. This looks like a good place for a vaggabondd to hang out. Very nice
