Description
Something light and easy today.
This is my daughter years ago during a trip to the Duluth harbor. (I hope you Minnesotans recognize it! If not you need to head up there and scope it out.) The day we went it was cloudy but pleasant. The kids were climbing on the rocks and I called her name and she turned, saw me with the camera (duh) and did the Ta-DAH pose. I was going to crop it vertically until I saw the lighthouse and boat in the background in Lake Superior. So, this is pretty much right out of camera. Nothing stunning but it cheered me up.
I will return to comment but have a concert in 2 days so really very busy.
Thanks for dropping in.

It is a beautiful capture, Jodie. Your daughter is beautiful!! Love the cool T-Shirt...Wonderful harbour too. Good concert for you... Happy night and Hugs for you both. Diane.
Perfect pose/title. Good luck with the concert -- those are hectic, I know, and often fun but always tense.
Perfect crop, it adds so much more to the environment as well as a holiday mood to it. You "model" seems to be very happy. Good luck with the concert.
wonderful shot and I happy you left in the boat and lighthouse
It's a super image! SHe is so cute and the shot is great! :o)b
It really is a great "feel good" shot. Brings a smile and keeps you looking. Great job.
Isn't that Kate Winslett on the bow of the Titanic? But where is Leonardo de Caprio? Good POV, DOF and subject matter in this capture! Incidentally, she sure is thin.
Your daughter is darling.... So very very pretty... Love the pose....and the background as well Excellent capture.... I just uploaded a new one too drop by when ya can Hugs Susan~
Don't think it's "light and easy"... you have a special eye for children pictures... and once more, I just love this one, so well composed, so cute... Well done, Jodie ! Hugs
It's very sweet, and has such a wonderful, refreshing, and easy-going feel to it. I like this for being exactly what it is...a spontaneous capture of a beautiful, happy moment in time. And that's always a treat to see... :^) Thank you for sharing it here with us, Jodie. Good luck with the concert. -M :^)

Oh so beautiful and she's so pretty ! Good day :)
The red in this scene really makes the photo. It really ties your young model to the background. As a snapshot, outstanding!
so cute, fun shot....!
I have actually seen that place, although just driving by we didn't stop. Excellent moment.
I'm faving it for your daughter and for the reddish hues of her hands & face that, to me, not only match her clothes, but make her like a star against the sweeping backdrop of that harbor. I've seen several portraits in your gallery—especially your children—where you captured that reddish glow; I wonder if it isn't in you and just radiating out like spirit (!), but I've seen it more than a few times, and it's subtle but just wonderful. As for the harbor, I've been there, found Duluth to be a very old-looking and rustic city, a bit like the old New England Sea towns (or the towns of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, same Lake); and found the harbor to be very vast in feel. You caught that feeling, partly in the long pier (and the boat in the background) but also in the grayish blue that makes it seem outside time (Lake Superior can feel that way)...She looks like she's dancing on air...Well, I liked this shot when I saw it a while back, and I'm finally commenting on it now. So! Page 6, I got to you at last! I'll be back—these "old shots" have a lot to say to me...
