Description
Nikon 7900 image.
Here is a colorful little moth caterpillar that looks like a made-up critter, lol. The adult moths are rather drab greys and browns, short lived, and do not feed but the colorful caterpillers eat the foliage of a great variety of trees and shrubs and during high population spurts can defoliate entire trees.

Looks like something out of a tackle box. LOL. Very interesting capture there.
Perfect shot...
I agree with kathym LOL! What a lovely little creature and you have captured it brilliantly. Lovely colours and great textures too. xx
Lol, they are neat, aren't they. And they move so fast it is hard to get a clear shot. I have one VERY similar that I was going to post...may hold off for now... ;'P
What a beautiful creature and one that looks like it would be a good fly for trout fishing... :-) Nice shot and most interesting!
SWEET caterpillar. Such a pretty little thing. :)
